FMA REITERATES STANCE ON PAY RAISE, SENATE APPROVES 3.9%
On July 11, 2008, the Senate Appropriations Committee approved a civilian federal employee pay raise of 3.9 percent, at parity with that afforded to military personnel earlier this year, and equal to the amount passed by the House Appropriations Committee. In a letter to the Committee, FMA requested Chairman Richard Durbin (D-Ill.) follow past precedent when it comes to congressional support for the pay raise and pay parity. READ
