Labour Behind the Label supports garment workers' efforts worldwide to defend their rights. We educate consumers, lobby companies and government, raise awareness, and encourage international solidarity with workers. We coordinate the UK platform of the international Clean Clothes Campaign.
Tell Primark not to cut and run
Labour Behind the Label is calling on Primark to reverse its
decision to
cut and run from three Indian suppliers in advance of a BBC Panorama
investigation. Panorama has reportedly uncovered the widespread use of
subcontracting in the manufacture of embroidered goods, including the
employment of home workers under extremely bad conditions and possible
instances of child labour.

London, the Playfair2008 alliance (supported by the TUC and Labour
behind the label) has released a damning, name-and-shame
indictment of factory working conditions in the sports wear industry.

Who foots the bill? Support homeworkers making your shoes
"Who Foots the Bill?" is a campaign run jointly by Labour Behind the Label and Homeworkers Worldwide, to persuade companies including Clarks and Stylo to acknowledge the presence of homeworkers in their supply chains, ensuring that they work in decent conditions and have access to their rights.
