Over Joos: Als mens zijn we geneigd om in de verhalen over onszelf te leven en te geloven.Door het gewaar zijn van het lichaam verbinden we ons met de ervaring. De verhalen over onszelf verdwijnen naar de achtergrond. Joos heeft van 1981 tot 2003 gewerkt als lichaamsgericht psychotherapeut. Vooral in de latere jaren van haar werk merkte zij dat het contact met het lichaam essentieel is, zowel voor de cliënt als voor de therapeut.Naarmate haar proces vordert ziet zij steeds meer het belang van het lichaam voor het spirituele proces. Joos schreef drie boeken: Heel, Heel compleet, en Spelen met de levensenergie.De eerste twee boeken zijn gebaseerd op Een Cursus in Wonderen.Aanleiding om te gaan schrijven waren de woorden uit Een Cursus in Wonderen: “Ik ben niet een lichaam, ik ben vrij.”Deze uitspraak bracht Joos ertoe zich grondig te verdiepen in de relatie tussen lichaam en geest. Een interesse in de Tzolkin, de heilige kalender van de Maya's, stuwde haar in de richting van een onderzoek naar de vraag of we de scheppingenergie van de 20 zonnetekens van de Tzolkin terug kunnen vinden in ons lichaam. In Jin Shin Jyutsu wordt een verband gelegd tussen de aard van de energie en de plaats in het menselijk lichaam. Daar worden 26 energiesloten beschreven, plaatsen in het lichaam waar we de energiestroom blokkeren, of juist door middel van aandacht voor die gebieden, kunnen laten doorstromen. Om meer gevoel te krijgen voor de aard van de energie op die plaatsen in het lichaam besloot zij tijdens het onderzoek een derde boek te schrijven waarbij zij haar persoonlijke ervaring bij het openen van de 'energiesloten' beschreef. Tenslotte concludeert zij dat de scheppingsenergie van de zonnetekens van de Tzolkin teruggevonden kan worden op specifieke plaatsen in het menselijk lichaam.

Al zoekende op het spirituele pad belanden we al gauw in een sfeer van moeten, willen, plichten.Een sfeer die ons voorschrijft hoe HET eigenlijk hoort.Een sfeer waarin wij ook de ander willen voorschrijven hoe HET eigenlijk hoort.Door het afpellen van die lagen treffen we bruisend LEVEN aan.Liefde is bij ons. Als je tegen een mens zegt dat hij niet zijn lichaam is dan gaat die mens iets doen.De mens gaat ontkennen, wegschuiven, buitensluiten. De mens gaat handelen.De mens gaat dan een splitsing maken. Een splitsing die we juist zo graag willen overbruggen, want ook onze lichamen horen bij het Leven. Door het gewaar zijn van het lichaam kan de spirituele ervaring een persoonlijke ervaring worden.
