A Little About the Keltic Kat
I live with some people I found, they are quite suitable. I get fresh water, tasty treats, pets and chin scratching on demand, an opportunity to get the message of my crusade to more humans and best of all a window seat to sun my belly on.
I have a gorgeous medium length black coat with a distinctive white squiggle on my chest. I’m very elegant, even dapper. I have a commanding mew and humans know when I want something.
I’m a moggy cat. Yep, that’s right a cat of indistinct breed. That’s all a bunch of human non-sense anyway. A cat is a cat, from the biggest to the smallest. The phrase domestic cat is quite funny, really, after all you don’t see cats pulling sleds, herding cattle, sniffing packages in airports or fetching newspapers. While all of those are very noble pursuits, they are distinctly the purpose of the Canis lupus familiaris.
Cats have another purpose in the world.

I wonder if he knew why? I’m sure he did, he was a remarkable human. He would have made a marvelous cat.
There are many tales of the origin of cats, but we all have the same purpose.
Egyptian Cats, as we all should know, were a gift from the Goddess Bastet to the people of Egypt. Humans in Egypt were smart enough to figure out how to grow and store grain, but you couldn't figure out how to keep the rodents from over running them. And that is where Egyptian Cats came in; they killed the rodents, allowing humans to eat and thus develop your culture. Why Bastet took such pity on humans, and gave you such a wonderful gift. I don't know. I’m sure she had her reasons.
Then there are the almost wild cats like the Turkish Van, the Maine Coon and the Norsk skoggkat (literally “forest cat”). None of them are quite as tame as humans would like to think, and yet neither are they as aloof as the Cait Sith.
The Cait Sith (pronounced caught shee, like banshee) or fairy cats the not so mythical ancestors of the elusive Kellas cats of Scotland. Very little is known about the Cait Sith, except they are fairy creatures large and black with a white crest on their chests. Vicious if cornered but weary of people, for good reason too. Anyway there is bit of their blood in my history. You were thinking an ordinary house cat could type? Now that is absurd…
My crusade
I have begun a crusade to help humans. Humans have deep lack of appreciation for the absurd. Yet, human lives are filled with absurdity. Humans go to great lengths to pretend they are not being absurd. They fight over bits of dirt, as if anyone can own the Earth. They run wild across the planet, without a care for themselves or other creatures. They obsess over things they have no control over. They do not trust themselves and the do not trust the Universe. It would be very funny if it weren’t so sad.
Absurd- adjective completely unreasonable, illogical, or inappropriate. ORIGIN Latin absurdus out of tune.

Humans are definitely out of tune. They are out of tune with themselves, with the natural rhythms of their lives and the universe. They scurry about like rats or bees, from one place to another, never taking time to ask themselves, why? And yet the absurd distractions are impossible for humans to escape. They have made their cake, so to speak. Now they must eat their cake no matter how absurd it is.
The only escape is to recognize the ABSURDNESS they have created. Embrace it, and revel in it. Then, and only then, can humans be free of the ABSURDNESS they have created for themselves.
Why Keltic Kat with Ks?
Because the hard C is the correct pronunciation of Celtic, and it looked better with the two Ks.
