SASA: A Film about Women, Violence and HIV/AIDS
Sasa is a Kiswahili word that means now. Now is the time to prevent violence against women and HIV infection. This 30-minute documentary film tells the personal stories of two women and their experiences with violence and HIV/AIDS. It also offers analysis from activists and leaders about the causal factors, cultural dynamics and politics of preventing and responding to these dual pandemics.

SASA! Study
Raising Voices, CEDOVIP, The London School for Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Makerere University and PATH are undertaking a process and impact evaluation of the new SASA! program in Kampala.

100 murals
Raising Voices is working with UWESO to paint 40 murals on prominent walls in four districts across Uganda with the aim of painting another 100 next year in other parts of Uganda. The idea is to make a statement regarding prevention of violence against children and engage the community on a day to day basis to examine underlying values and beliefs.The murals carry positive messages with practical suggestions and role-modeling of positive behaviour.
