From the Executive Director: Welcome to VSA arts of Montana - promoting the creative power of people with disabilities since 1979. We partner with the Departments of Dance and Music at the University of Montana to provide learning opportunities for people with disabilities and teacher and access training for University of Montana students who participate in VSA classes on campus.We provide opportunities for artists with disabilities to showcase their art.We promote the development of creative expression and learning through the arts in on-going classes, residency programs and workshops. We support arts festivals for inclusive populations. The largest is our annual Festival of the Dead in the fall, culminating in a Processional and Performances on November 2, the Day of the Dead.We provide support, training and technical assistance to Montana’s cultural institutions to promote access for all people.Our Mission:VSA works to create a culture where people with disabilities are fully involved with the arts, as expressive artists, learners, and as audience members.To achieve this goal, we work to design learning experiences for creating and sharing in the arts, prepare a community of support for learning in and through the arts, and provide access to all facilities and events in the arts.
