Click on the link below to see the written correspondence between Senator John McCain and The First Whistleblower, click on the link below: Republican Presidential candidate Senator John McCain WHAT is The First Whistleblower?The First Whistleblower is a private organization committed to protecting and promoting the rights of Whistleblowers.Our goal is to provide Whistleblowers with assistance and support while they pursue their rights after being victimized for reporting or opposing the unlawful and wasteful activities of corrupt government officials and employees that abuse their positions and authority for their own gains.WHO is The First Whistleblower?On February 10th 2003, a hearing was held before the State of Arizona Personnel Board.The purpose of this proceeding was to determine whether the State Board had jurisdiction over a "Whistleblower Complaint"filed against a number of high ranking Maricopa County officials (Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, Richard Romley [Maricopa County Attorney], & Kenneth Medlin).This complaint charged them and others with wrongful termination, denial of employment, and other unlawful acts against Scott McNair in retaliation for his attempts to expose waste and corruption by government employees.At this hearing, the following officials testified on behalf of Maricopa County: Barbara Rees (Director of Human Resources), Janice Stratton (Merit Commission Administrator & Employee Ombudsman), Espy Gamez (Director of Human Resources, Department of Transportation),In acts of blatant perjury, these government witnesses testified that prior to Mr. McNair there has NEVER been a "Whistleblower Complaint" filed in Maricopa County. (Public Court records prove otherwise.)The effect of the perjurous testimony by these government officials was to bestow upon Mr. McNair the "honor" of becoming "The First Whistleblower" for Maricopa County.WHY does The First Whistleblower need MY help?BILLIONS of YOUR TAX DOLLARS are lost every year through waste, fraud, and abuse by corrupt government officials and dishonest contractors. Through the efforts of Whistleblowers, over $6.3 BILLION has already been recovered.Thanks to the efforts of Whistleblowers, those invovled in: Department of Energy safety violations, tobacco company cover-ups, mutual fund fraud, accounting and investment fraud by EnRon & WorldCom executives, theft from the WTC disaster site by FBI employees, sexual assaults against female cadets at the U.S. Naval Academy, rampant Medicare fraud, Department of Defense waste and over billing,... have been exposed and prosecuted for thier corrupt and unlawful acts.All of these are examples of corruption and waste that were exposed by Whistleblowers performing their civic and patriotic duty.But...at a cost. In attempting to protect your tax-dollars by exposing the waste, fraud, and unlawful acts government employees, Whistleblowers face demotion, loss of employment, loss of insurance, blacklisting, and financial ruin. Even though there are state and federal laws enacted to protect them against such retaliation, the burden of enforcing these laws and protecting their rights falls upon the Whistleblowers themselves.This is exactly what corrupt government officials rely on.After exercising their political, judicial, and corporate influence to destroy Whistleblowers, they then use their UNLIMITED access to YOUR tax dollars to hide behind government paid attorneys who assist in covering up their misdeeds,including withholding and destroying public records that could be used as evidence against them.As in our first case,Maricopa County officials refuse to diligently investigate and prosecute those involved in corruption and waste (as doing so would incriminate themselves), and refuse to acknowledge or enforce the laws that protect Whistleblowers from retaliation.Instead, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors and County Attorney Rick Romley have assigned a team of attorneys (spending tens of thousands of your tax dollars) to cover-up their unlawful activities. These government officials are utilizing all their political influence and YOUR government resources to persecute and destroy Mr. McNair (both financially and his reputation).Prior to June 30th 2002, Mr. McNair was a Database Administrator at Maricopa Countywith money in the bank and looking to buy a home. After exposing the unlawful and wasteful activities of government employees, he was terminated, denied the opportunity to apply for the same job he previously held, blacklisted from any future employment with Maricopa County AND the State of Arizona, driven into bankruptcy, and subjected to mail fraud & identity theft by these same violators.The State of Arizona Attorney General [Terry Goddard] has refused to investigate these criminal acts of Mail Fraud & Indenity Theft, and instead assigned the case to the Office of Maricopa County Attorney [Andrew P.
