The Website's first aim was to be able to send a "huuuge" neverending letter with signatures to the Malaysian Minister of Tourism and to the Indonesian Minister of Forestry. During these years this .ORG has collected hundreds and hundreds of signatures by persons from all over the world. We wish to say thank you to all these persons. Now the Proboscis Monkeys situation is getting harder year after year and Kristina has realized that the Project needs more Power and visibility. There is no more time to lose!  We want to collect funds to buy and produce a 5 seconds spot at MTV Network to sensibilize more people and to drive much more traffic to this Website.  All the donations we collect will be redirected to other Advertising actions and to support "BorneoAid" a new initiative that will allow people to "rent" pieces of land in Borneo to prevent deforestation. Yes, the Project staff will use marketing rules to focus the attention to us and to make the Malaysian Government AWARE OF OUR VALUE. All of you can represent potential tourists eager to see us climbing up trees. They must realize that "we" Proboscis Monkeys and all the wildlife are a TREASURE which will get Malaysia more money than palm oil plantations, spread quite all over in Borneo, nowadays. My fellow monkeys and I, together with all the wild inhabitants of the jungle, will pay for our survival tolerating you spying and taking pictures of us. We fear what may be the inevitable…Extinction. Our death would be a terrible SHAME for the world. Maybe one day YOU, your children and future generations, would like to see us, still up the trees crawling and jumping, and NOT in an old book or in the Internet. We really NEED you and your friends to help us! You know, even naturalists were puzzled about me...
