Many claim that this is impossible; they say that we cannot stop sinning. They view sin as they do the law of gravity: insisting that it can't be broken - despite the help of an almighty, all holy God who has promised us everything we need for life and godliness. In examining various proof texts used by those who "never stop sinning" in an attempt to “prove their point”, I will endeavor to demonstrate that this is diametrically opposed to what the Bible does teach. We are all in a war against passions and desires which seek to dominate our lives (Gal. 5). The question that dogged me for years was; "How obedient can I - and should I - be?" The following is a result of my quest for an answer. You are free to disagree with me! However, it would be foolishness to consider only one side of the issue. The man who insists that he is right because he refuses to consider that he could be wrong is like a man who would insist that there is no sky while refusing to look up.
