Shout out to Playboy Radio Listeners Wow! What a great time I had today talking with host Tiffany Granath on Playboy Radio's "Afternoon Advice." Tiffany's fast-paced, friendly style made me feel right at home ... and it was great, too, to pull a few cards for her and for her listeners. If you take nothing else away from the program, remember this: a deck of Tarot cards can help you see yourself, your partner, and your relationship from an entirely new perspective. By relating your question to the card you draw, you can come up with dozens of ideas for keeping your relationship -- and your love life -- as fresh and exciting as you want it to be!If you caught the show, you might be curious about the books and decks Tiffany and I talked about. Here they are:Bring on the Books! We spent most of our hour today discussing Taking the Tarot to Heart. This great book gives you everything you need to start reading cards with love, sex, and relationships in mind. Inside, you won't find looong boring lectures on obscure Tarot meanings ... instead, you'll find free-wheeling applications of the cards you can master in ten minutes or less ... and all of 'em are just for lovers, partners, and people on the prowl! Get yours from Amazon.com today. Also, don't overlook The Absolute Beginner's Guide to Tarot. I wrote this book for people who don't know a thing about the deck ... but who want to know it all! Inside, I give you everything you need, from simple, step-by-step instructions for reading the cards to advice on how to apply the cards to questions about love, business, spirituality, and personal growth!Nice Deck Ya Got There. If you're curious about Tarot ... but feeling a bit overwhelmed by the fact that there are more than 2000 decks on the market ... here are some great suggestions for beginner-friendly decks! The Universal Waite. Soft colors and dreamy images. In the minds of a lot of people, this deck *is* the Tarot! The Universal Tarot. Based on the same set of Tarot images, this deck has an edgier, more masculine look and feel. The World Spirit Tarot. If you're into multiculturalism (or just brilliant color!) this body-positive deck is for you.The Bright Idea Deck. Colorful and contemporary, this is the perfect deck for practical readings about everyday life. While the most recent printing of this 78-card college deck sold out long ago, the web site hints at a "waiting list" for new buyers. Me? I'm thinking a waiting list gives me the time I need to set $131 bucks back for this beautiful handmade deck. The concept -- developed by the Lo Scarabeo team -- was to create a deck by fusing elements from the three most influential decks in history: the Waite-Smith, the Thoth, and the Tarot de Marseille. On each card of the Lo Scarabeo Tarot, you'll spy visual "tributes" to the other decks ... plus new elements we've introduced to keep the deck fresh and surprising. This is the most "mystical" or esoteric deck I've worked on to date, and I think the Tarot community at large will really love the light, detailed watercolor images that illustrate each card. Get a free reading today. Purchasing a Volkswagon EOS afterward is entirely optional, of course! I left the hotel Saturday night feeling energized and excited. If you were there ... you know how I feel!I'm currently in Edinburgh (with my bags -- ha!). Internet connections at our hotel are very slow, so I've been unable to upload the presentations we used the other day. As soon as I return home, though -- Thursday morning -- I'll upload the presentation slides so that everyone can see them and have a record of our work together. Thanks to everyone who helped make the weekend a success -- including Kim and Martin, who are amazing people indeed. Almost every client I read for here in Jackson has, at one time or another, sat down opposite a Jackson Square reader. Whether you loved them or hated them, admired them or considered them to be con artists, the street readers of Jackson Square added an undeniable dash of color, spirituality, and New Age mysticism to the melange that is New Orleans. And now, for the most part, they're gone.
