There are more Celebrity Scientologists than just Tom Cruise

08:02, Saturday, September 8, 2007 .. 1 comments .. Link I just caught a nifty slide show on wbcstv.com, showing pictures & descriptions of a number of celebrity Scientologists - aside from just Tom Cruise.  Besides the sheer surf factor, I thought it nifty that for once, a news organization didn't try to keep it "controversial" by putting in all sorts of "counterpoints" and controversial statements to make it seem like people practicing Scientology have some wierd thing connected with them.  The newsworthy thing, instead of trumped-up controversy, is simply that they're Scientologists, practicing what Scientologists do! Help others! Actresses Marisol Nichols of the television show "24," left, and actress Anne Archer, right, check out the baby bump on actress and mom-to-be Jenna Elfman during a Scientology event on Feb. 17, 2007, in Los Angeles. Among those mentioned were (of course) Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, as well as Isaac Hayes, John Travolta, Lynsey Bartilson, Persia White, Marisol Nichols, Jenna Elfman, and a whole load of others.

Getting somewhere on my Dianetics Book Course

03:08, Tuesday, August 14, 2007 .. 1 comments .. Link As I think I alluded to earlier, pretty much ever since Mr. David Miscavige released the Scientology Books, I have been working on my Dianetics Book Course and have been loving it. Even though I've been in Scientology for over 20 years, I only finally read Dianetics 3 years ago.  The difference in how much I understand the book now (i.e. while doing the course), compared to just reading it before, is night and day.  I'm in the midst now of reading about how mishaps by the mother while she is pregnant can affect a child rather adversely later in life -- from arguments and such to just physical activity.  It's all due to the reactive mind and its affect on a person later.

Explosion of Color

03:17, Friday, July 27, 2007 .. 0 comments .. Link Sorry about my last post.  I think that's the reason I went away from this blog for a while -- my last post was what's termed in Scientology as an 'overt' -- an awful explosion of fruit flavour that doesn't totally increase the overall aesthetic value of the Internet.   So, I apologize for this.    After watching the briefing by Mr. David Miscavige on the new Basic Scientology Books, I probably will now find myself going through the Introduction to Scientology Ethics and get myself straightened out so that I only post things that are more conducive to the longevity of our monitors. :)

Way to Happiness: Isreal News

12:01, Tuesday, April 24, 2007 .. 0 comments .. Link 5th and 6th grades had a class based on The Way to Happiness® booklet.   At the end of the class we asked them: "What did you like most about the class?" "What did you understand from the class?"   "I understood one should treat everybody with respect, and if we treat everybody with respect we will be treated the same and feel good." Shir "I loved all of it. It was very interesting, I realized it is very important to respect others even if they do not respect you, and you should ignore it. I do not have to react back all the time – you can ignore. And one should be honest towards our environment, and you should help anyone who needs it." Sapir  "I liked that the instructor made sure to interpret and explain things to us." Dor   "I liked most that we 'understood’' people, we feel what is going on with them and we make it better for them. He (the instructor) helps kids and makes them feel better and behave correctly. I understood that a person's happiness is within him/her and you need to motivate them and help the happiness to come out and work well." Lital   "I understood that it is not worth while to hit. It's better to be nice and good kids." Nir "I liked everything about the class and I had a good time. I understood that I choose whether to climb up the ladder to happiness or to climb down to pain. I understood that instead of hurting people we can ask nicely, that way nobody's hurt. When I'm being treated nicely I treat others nicely as well." Si "I liked most that we talked about what we wanted to be when we grow up and about respecting our parents and about happiness. I understood that one doesn't have to give up anything. For example: if I ask a girl to be my girlfriend and she says no, I don't need to give up." Idan "I understood that in most cases people want to achieve happiness and we must also do that. I enjoyed the class very much because it was important to our lives!" Leah "I understood everything in the class. I understood that happiness is joy and happiness depends on us only." Coral "What I liked most in the class was that they taught me that I need to think not only on what I want but also about everybody being happy. I need to think before I do anything." Gil "I liked most that Oren explained what life is! I understood that we determine our destiny and future!" Bar "I understood that in order to be happy we need to give to others and do things for others as well as for ourselves." Noah "I understood that we need to set a good example and help others to be happy." Dana "I liked the role-play the best. I understood that I need to behave nicely to others and respect them, this way the world will be a better place. It all depends on us. It is wrong to give bad advice and we need to try and give good advice. We need to keep our promises. From one bad action many bad actions can develop. For example: Dan called from Yehudah's cell phone and his mother was angry with him (she is a teacher). She was mad at her students and they went back home and annoyed their parents and when the father went to a job interview he failed and so on and on… all because of not keeping a promise." Liav   "I enjoyed the whole class but mostly I liked that we wrote on the board what happiness is and what is its cause. I understood how to be more popular in the society and how to make everyone treat me better. And that if I treat others well they will treat me well in return." Dekel   "I learned that I determine whether I'll have a good life or bad." Nadav     Children, teachers and parents love the happiness classes based on The Way to Happiness booklet.   Thousands of workshops have been taking place in schools all over the country free of charge.   Your donation enables to do that. How many workshops would you like to donate for?

What is the LRH Birthday Game? Explained here!

08:19, Wednesday, February 28, 2007 .. 0 comments .. Link I've seen a ton of random musings and interpretations on what the LRH Birthday Game is.  Ever heard of it?  If you're a Scientologist and have been around a Scientology Academy, training to be a Scientology Volunteer Minister, or if you've been a member of WISE or any such related organization -- you may have heard some mention of the "Birthday Game".   Well, on ScientologyToday, they just put up an explanation of what that is, in the case you were ever curious:   There is a holiday unique to the Scientology religion, celebrated in Scientology churches and missions around the world every year: March 13th —   L. Ron Hubbard's Birthday. Mr. Hubbard left behind a legacy of technology that anyone can learn and use to accomplish greater happiness, ability and spiritual freedom. It is because of this body of knowledge that The Aims of Scientology can be accomplished: "A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights." Scientology churches and missions are dedicated to accomplishing these aims and when they gather to honor Ron, part of the celebration is a tradition that dates back to the 1970's called the LRH Birthday Game. Churches and missions around the world compete with one another, and those with greatest expansion and progress toward these aims are awarded as the year's "Birthday Game winners." This event is held each year in Clearwater, Florida, the Scientology "Mecca" — the spiritual headquarters of the religion. And this year is no exception. On March 17th this year, at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Florida, thousands of Scientologists will gather to honor the founder of their religion, get brought up-to-date on news from around the world and cheer the churches and missions announced as the winners of this year's game. But they will certainly not be the only ones to hear all the great news. In fact Golden Era Productions, a division of Church of Scientology International, will film and edit the event and get it to Los Angeles where it will be watched the following evening by thousands of Scientologists and their friends at the Shrine Auditorium. Meanwhile, church staff in translations units around the world will undertake the enormous job of making the entire event available in 18 languages in time to get it shipped to every church and mission the world over. They, in turn, will show it at their own events, most of which are scheduled for the following weekend on the 24th or 25th of March. But this is certainly not all they will see. There are surprises planned that promise to eclipse any International Scientology event of the past. And you can read all about it here after the event has taken place! References: L. Scientology Kansas City Shaping Up to be Next Ideal Scientology Organization

08:41, Monday, February 26, 2007 .. 0 comments .. Link Back in mid-January, I wrote about the new Church of Scientology in Berlin -- a brand-new, state of the art Scientology Church which has some of the most high-tech systems you can shake a stick at to make it easy as falling off a log to walk in to a Church of Scientology and find out all about what Scientology is. Well, that same concept is going to shortly be making its way to the heart of the midwest, where the Church of Scientology Kansas City will soon be the next Ideal Scientology Organization.  Or one of them, anyhow. They're looking to purchase a gigantic new building in downtown Kansas City, MO -- to keep pace with their rapid growth.  A few years back they were actually honored with an award as having the fastest-growing Scientology parishionership in the world.  Well, that growth hasn't abated and the Church continues to need to find a space that's large enough for all of the people currently training to be Scientology Volunteer ministers. I hope to have some photos of the place soon! References: Ideal Scientology Organizations This is Scientology - Presentation by David Miscavige The Scientology Handbook

Scientology Expanding Like Mad in San Jose

09:04, Wednesday, February 14, 2007 .. 0 comments .. Link There are several new Churches of Scientology in Silicon Valley, many of which which have been recently renovated and are in significantly larger quarters, due to the increase in Scientologists in the area. Church of Scientology of San Francisco — in downtown San Francisco.  This building, newly renovated and opened by Scientology Ecclesiastical leader David Miscavige in 2003, Church of Scientology of Los Gatos - located in between Los Gatos and San Jose, serves the heart of Silicon Valley and the working families in the area. Scientology Los Gatos Church of Scientology of Mountain View - located in Mountain View, CA, and with a splendid new Scientology Information Center opened in 2004, is rapidly expanding, and serves both families and businesses alike, helping them to communicate better with Scientology Communication Technology. Church of Scientology Stevens Creek of San Jose — in its new Lundy Lane premises, is one of the largest Churches of Scientology in the world, serving an incredibly diverse parishionership.  Their anti-drug and Volunteer minister campaigns are known all around the bay area for their effectiveness and willingness to help.Scientology San Jose I’ve attached some Google Earth slides of some of these Churches, to help you find them better.

Sailing Right for my 100th entry on Scientology

08:34, Saturday, January 27, 2007 .. 2 comments .. Link I'm relatively new to this whole blogging thing, but I guess I got in to the groove.  I've had this Scientology blog for only a few months, and am quickly coming up on my 100th post.  I know, that doesn't seem like the most informative thing to blog about (usually my posts are better!) but when logging in today I just found it interesting. In all honesty, there's been so much happening in the Scientology-o-sphere over the last 4 months, especially since the International Association of Scientologists event in October, where a large number of broad, far-reaching campaigns were announced to really make a dent in areas like drug abuse, human rights violations, the fight to bring psychiatry under the law, etc.  Let me know if there's more you want to hear about though, because I love blogging about it!

Scientology Volunteer Ministers on Canoes in Philppines

08:44, Sunday, January 21, 2007 .. 0 comments .. Link The Scientology Disaster Relief Team traveling between villages in Albay Province in the Philippines. Since early December, the Scientology Disaster Relief Team has been working one-on-one with those who survived Typhoon Durian, which killed hundreds and displaced hundreds of thousands from their homes. With seminars and workshops based on the Scientology Handbook and the book Dianetics: the Modern Science of Mental Health by L. Ron Hubbard, they are giving men, women and even children tools by which they can put these painful experiences behind them. I was writing about this incessantly in my blog, trying to get enough people informed about what was going on so we could have some people get down there and start helping out. Well, now the Scientologists who went to the Phillipines to help, have now also been getting natives trained up on what to do, and they're now all over the place in canoes and catamarans, going village to village to help people out. They're certainly looking for more volunteers though.
