Our Mission: Do Justice. Dismantle Violence. Strive to be Peace Makers Welcome to our NEW Web Site! We're Not finished..But Well on our way! EPF to Haiti - August 12 - 17 - check out photos of trip here Working with the Diocese of Haiti this month EPF will offer nonviolence training to over 30 church leaders in Haiti. These leaders will mold and shape the training to meet their own needs in their own context. The team will be lead by Will Wauters, National Executive Council member and rector the Church of the Epiphany, LA. Will is a veteran peacemaker working with parish leaders extensively in immigration rights, health care, worker rights, peace issues and eliminating international poverty. Will has traveled to Haiti many times. Also on the team is Nicole Janelle (photo right), vicar and chaplain at St. Michaels & All Angels and the Episcopal Campus Ministry at UC at Santa Barbara. Nicole completed EPF's first nonviolence facilitator training in 2002, is a member of the Committee on the Status of Women of the National Church and Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice. Lead trainer for the group is Veronica Pelicaric, a Pace e Bene trainer from Montreal Canada. Veronica has experience in Haiti and is fluent in French. Veronica has also worked with the EPF nonviolence project based in the diocese of Minnesota coordinated by Robert Two Bulls and Rex McKee (Nataional Executive Council members). If you would like to get involved with and support EPF's nonviolence work in Haiti or Minnesota, or in your parish or community, please contact Bill Exner, chair of EPF's nonviolence committee.Sewanee conference on sustainable living opens a new era in EPF activismby Don WilliamsAs a scarlet ball dropped beyond blue ridgelines and verdant valleys surrounding St. Mary's Center at Sewanee, TN, on the longest day of the year, June 21, some 100 souls opened a new and promising era in the history of the Episcopal Peace Fellowship.Activists, priests, scholars, artists, musicians, writers, teachers, environmentalists and others from a range of spiritual traditions accomplished much in 24 hours as they initiated Peace On and With the Earth, a conference to explore the relationship between peace and the environment.
