What else can be the justification for Channel 4's inclusion of the Bloodsport Alliance in its list of 'Political Personality of the Decade'? Let's look at some of the Bloodsport Alliance's achievements over the past 10 years:  Fox Hunting - BANNED Hare Hunting - BANNED Hare Coursing - BANNED Deer Hunting - BANNED Mink Hunting - BANNED Press Bullying Court Cases - LOST MP Harrassment Regional Director Arrested Dirty Tricks PR Deceiving the Police and Courts With such a fine record of failure why would Channel 4 include them on the list? Simple, money. The Bloodsport Alliance are desperate, they've wasted millions pounds on their campaign and achieved nothing. So winning meaninless polls, especially if they are open to abuse, is all they have left, remember the Radio 4 vote farce? Channel 4 knows the Bloodsport Alliance members will ring up and ring up and ring up. And at 25p at time that's a nice little earner for a channel in serious decline. As Paul Fynn MP says in his blog: The Channel 4 Political awards have been hijacked. The prize for political achievement ceremony should be dumped because there are serious doubts that it has been rigged. An un-named, unknown panel short-listed the hunting fanatics in the Countryside Alliance for an award. The shortlist was Tony Blair: Ian Paisley and Martin McGuiness: Ken Livingstone: Alex Salmond: The Countryside Alliance: Anti-Iraq war protestors: There was campaign for mass voting for the animal abusers and –surprise-surprise- the word is that CA have won. It’s hard to believe that the non-achievements of the CA could compete among reasonable people with any of the other nominees.
