Rabbi & Mrs. Chaim Tzvi Kakon, who opened the world's only residential Orthodox Deaf Yeshiva High School for Boys, 'Yeshiva Nefesh Dovid' in Toronto, Canada in 2001 will be Guest of Honor. Sharon Ann Dror, who founded the Jewish Deaf Community Center in Burbank, California in 1992 will be Guest Speaker. She served on the National Congress of Jewish Deaf’s board for 8 years, and was involved with several other Jewish Deaf organizations including Temple Beth Solomon of the Deaf (Arleta, CA), Washington Society of Jewish Deaf, and Chabad House Hearing Impaired Program in Los Angeles,CA. She has three deaf children, Joshua, Michael & Rachel. Beth Torah of the Deaf was founded in 1976 dedicating to provide a Torah environment to Jewish Deaf Adults. Beth Torah of the Deaf provides learning groups for men and women, seminars for the deaf with interpreter services for Jewish needs, social gatherings under Orthodox laws, and the annual Melava Malka. Admission is $72.00 per person.
