WELCOME TO THE REALM OF...THE POETESS
What's up everybody?! I guess that I should tell you a little bit about myself, huh? Well, I am 19 years old and a fiery Aries (of which I am extremely proud, by the way.) I am a full time college student in Dallas majoring in psychology. I have many hobbies; including shooting pool, reading, writing poetry, and constantly trying to think up creative things in which to involve myself. I am with a wonderful Scorpio that I am unbelievably in love with. We've been together a little more than 3 years now. She's the most beautiful person inside and out that I have ever known, and I am proud and honored to say that she is my Best Friend. She's helped me through a lot of hard times and been my strength and I just want to say thank you to her. THANK YOU, BABY! I LOVE YOU! But enough of that mushy stuff! Well, it is now 2002. Can you believe that we actually made it here. There are many things taking place that may end up changing the way the world operates. This may work out well. Then again, we may end up even worse off than we were before. I know that it is extremely hard to cope with the transformations that many of us are witnessing. Because of this, I urge you not to turn your back on your fellow citizens. It's hard to trust, but please make the effort. In this way, you are doing your part in making this world a better place. Please find something that will serve as your release. Don't harm yourselves, uplift yourselves. Please take care. Feel free to contact me at my e-mail address or sign my guestbook. LurkingWhat is that lurking around the corner?It's hypocrisy at its best.Just as I thought I was being liked more,I was actually being liked less.They stand right in front of my faceAnd act like they're concerned.But as soon as I step out of their doorThe deceitful fire of their words begins to burn.Two-faces are all aroundWaiting for their chance to flip your world upside down.As soon as a thought is put into their headsThey can't help but to make you drown.There is no cure for this deceit.It hides inside their smiles.There will be no warning,This hatred lies behind their eyes.The words are kind and the smiles are sweet,But don't forget who they are.They house this parasite called hypocricy,And you can find them near and far.In your own home,Connected by blood.Family doesn't matter.They'll let loose the flood."Live and let live",Don't live for them.Your life is not yours,It's all about revenge.Everyone everywhere is lurking somehow.So live for yourself and leave them behind now.
Burning FlameThe flame flickers and the shadows danceAs I sit here in candlelight thinking of you.My emotions run wild through the temporary darknessAs I sit routinely alone in this room.I often find myself cravingSomething that will clear my soul of this pain.But when my inner-self feels cleansed and healedThe memories run like rampant poison through my brain.I hear the words and relive the actionsThat put my heart into a strangle-hold;I'm overwhelmed by regrets, so numerous,That make it impossible for the story to be told.In these momentsof reflectionEverything that I have become is bared,Yet my instinct to forgive you is ever powerfulIn spite of the betrayal.Is this love made evident?Or is the evidence in my eyes;Of the sorrow that I'm working to pull myself through,Or of the wounds reopened when I cried?Love is a beautiful, sacred emotionThat resembles a burning flame.Too many tears won't necesarily put the flame out,But might possibly taint it's beauty with shame.
