Parent Support Group Available
Yavapai Family Advocacy Center (YFAC) is now offering a parent support group for parents whose children have been abused.
For further information, please call Jeanne or Laura at 775-0669 or click here. Trained professionals offer crisis de-briefing as well as victim advocacy.

The Yavapai Family Advocacy Center provides comprehensive services for child and adult victims of family violence. Victims have the opportunity to obtain a variety of crisis services in one location, with all agencies working together in the best interest of the victim.
At the Yavapai Family Advocacy Center those affected by family violence work with law enforcement, medical and counseling professionals, child and adult protective services, and victim advocates to address their immediate needs and provide emotional support.

Our MissionThe mission of the Yavapai Family Advocacy Center is to assist child or vulnerable adult victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence or sexual assault by reducing trauma, insuring thorough investigation and prosecution through a multi-disciplinary team process.

The Prescott Valley Domestic Violence Prevention Plan (PV-DVP)
The PV-DVP began in July 2005 through a grant from the Governor’s Office –Division for Women and Children.
The goal of the first year was to develop a plan to reduce the impact of domestic violence in that community. Guided by a group of community stakeholders representing agencies involved in the issue in Prescott Valley, a plan was developed which addresses the following goals:
Goal One: To increase public awareness of the impact of violence on young children
Goal Two: To provide systematic support to victims of domestic violence
Goal Three: To hold perpetrators more accountable through the legal system.
