"Children's Advocacy Centers exist because communities stepped forward to address child abuse in a cooperative way - involving entities tasked with investigating child abuse, prosecuting offenders and helping kids in other ways. Communities also support CAC's with funding, with volunteers and with the involvement of their leaders. They deserve our continued support."

Welcome to Children's Advocacy Center of Bastrop
The Children's Advocacy Center MISSION is to provide intervention and therapeutic services to child abuse victims and their non-offending family members.
When abused children enter the Children's Advocacy Center, they enter a safe and child-friendly environment.
"Woodstock", the Center's Therapy Dog, greets them at the front door and escorts them to the waiting room. There the children can watch videos, play games and puzzles, create masterpieces on the giant chalkboard, watch the fish swim around the fish tank, and create Lego works of art.
Each child receives a healthy snack, a homemade blanket and a stuffed animal before leaving the Advocacy Center.
The Children's Advocacy Center provides the first step in the children's' and families' healing process, offering them both hope and a brighter future.
