ORIGINAL SELF JUDGEMENT

When human beings first embodied, there was the most intense illusion of separation that ever has been. Each person was absolutely convinced that he or she was only that which was bounded by his or her skin, and it seemed obvious, at the time, that each so limited being was insignificant, indeed, in relation to all that seemed not to be that being, i.e. everything else.
Original sin, or some concept like original sin, was a common explanation among humanity of how beings who seemed so remarkable and potentially powerful could have found themselves in such apparently limited circumstances. The concept of original sin arose from a lingering awareness that human beings are, in fact, God, which awareness became distorted in the context of the experience of human embodiment, an experience which seemed to clearly contradict such awareness. The concept of original sin depended upon the belief that there must exist outside of each individual something or someone that is greater, and, therefore, better. Some force or intelligence, after all, must have caused all that was perceivable to be and must be continuing to direct circumstances as they arose. Being all powerful, that force or intelligence could save humanity from the horrible fate brought on by original sin.
Understood in this way, it becomes obvious that original sin was preceded by one thing-- original self judgment. Original self judgment is the result of the illusion of separation that was internalized by humanity at the time of embodiment. Once beings believed that they were not as good as something else that they believed also existed, then, from that moment on, they could never be good enough until they became that which they believed themselves not to be. The original belief in the illusion of separation was the beginning step in creating the belief structure that you must now be willing to let go of in order to get on with your lives.
Beliefs are images constructed from thought that may or may not reflect the truth. Whether they reflect the truth or not, they are not themselves the whole truth ever, in that the only actual experience that can be had of a thought is the experience of thinking. The experience of thinking is an interesting experience, but it is not all of what is, and all of what is can never be reduced to thought alone. Thought is, however, an energetic form.
Human beings, in an effort to take control of your lives and, thus, be God like, have attempted to construct out of thought a belief structure in which to live. Not having fully experienced, at the time of your embodiment, your oneness with all that is, you believed that, in order to provide for your own safety, you had to take control of your lives. Structure formed from the energetic substance of thought became the container in which humanity took refuge from the perceived danger of that which was unknown and/or uncontrolled.
The reason for taking the radical step of now letting your belief structure go is that it is not working to keep you safe. It is not doing what it was meant to do. While you may not yet be ready to endorse the reality that you are always safe even apart from your belief structure, there are a number of you who are beginning to be aware that what you are doing is not working to keep you safe. War has not brought peace. Imprisonment and execution has not eliminated crime. Rigid educational methods have not brought about intellectual advancement. Proliferation of law has not brought justice. The practice of religion has not brought spiritual enlightenment.
The process that you are now engaged in works like this. What is is examined in order to determine what aspects of it are deemed beneficial. Then an effort is made to foster those aspects of what is that are deemed beneficial, while an effort is made to eliminate or limit those aspects of what is that are deemed to not be beneficial or good enough. This process of examining what is for the purpose of eliminating that which is not good enough has been going on for some time. It is believed to bring about a kind of purification. In fact, what happens when you engage in this process is the opposite. Rather than purification, the result is constriction and loss of vitality. Each time some aspect of what is is pushed away and not entered into, no matter what it is, you are less alive and your potential for living life fully is circumscribed. While it may be true that entering into a particular aspect of what is involves having an experience that is uncomfortable, it is also true that not entering into the experiences with which you are presented is even more uncomfortable, because then you are not fully living your life. Moreover, whether you yet believe it or not, you can, in a present sense, do more harm to yourself by limiting your participation in your life experiences than you can ever do by allowing yourself to actually engage in any experience, no matter what that experience may be. In the most literal sense possible, the process of dying is the process of leaving your present life to collect yourself for another, later, attempt at human manifestation, after having so limited yourself through self judgment that there is not enough vitality available to your system to continue to support human life. It is then that death occurs for most human beings.
In addition, all the mayhem and destruction that goes on around you, despite your best efforts to contain it by thought, is an outward expression of original self judgment. When an individual destroys or damages his or her environment, in any way, it is an expression of self judgment and self contempt. Destruction or damage to the environment takes many forms. It may be as overt as blowing something up with explosives or as covert, and apparently well intentioned, as telling one you love a little white lie in order to protect him or her. You all participate in such behavior. No one is exempt, and the purpose of this work is not to stop you from functioning as you are. The purpose of this work is to bring you to awareness of who you are and how you are currently expressing yourselves, so your ability to make effective choices can be expanded. You can begin the process of discovering who you are in any moment, no matter what your circumstances. The one essential requirement for self knowledge is self acceptance.
By revealing that it is not the purpose of this work to directly reform your behavior, it is not being said that how life is conducted is unimportant. The truth is that beings who know they are God act like God, and beings who recognize God as all that is treat all that is with respect and attention. The kind of behavior that you have attempted to impose on yourselves by law and other external structures of thought would emerge naturally from you if you just got to know who you, in fact, already are. It is only because you believe that you are something less than God that disrespect is often reflected in your behaviors toward yourselves and others now. The reason that you must begin by accepting yourselves now, just as you are, no matter what, is that there is no other way to come to know yourselves. Unless you come to know and appreciate yourselves just as you already are, you will never be happy and fulfilled no matter what else you may achieve.
