When individual families understand their problems and themselves better, their

Restorative Justice Programs
Restorative Justice philosophy represents a very different lens to view, understand
and respond to crime and victimization. It is a new way of thinking about how a
community can respond to crime. It holds offenders accountable and places emphasis
on repairing the harm done to the victim and the community.

Spitzmillers Pedal Cross-Country, To Raise Money for Child & Family Services
This summer, John and Amy Spitzmiller are biking their way across America from San
Francisco, CA to Portsmouth, NH on a 3,836 mile journey which will raise money to
help support Child & Family Services and Nardin Academy. That’s 1,600 miles
longer than the Tour de France, one of the world’s best known bicycle races!
The Spitzmillers combined their passions of bicycling and helping others to turn
this once-in-a-lifetime trip into a fundraising mission. Amy retired from Nardin
Academy this year after more than 30 years of service, and has a special place in
her heart for the school. Likewise, John has been a devoted member of the Child
& Family Services’ Board of Directors for more than 30 years. Their commitment to
these organizations inspired them to recruit the generous support of others in the
community to turn their cross-country adventure into a way to help our neighbors
here in Western New York.
