The House That Love Built
A child friendly reception area welcomes families
When a child is hospitalized and scared, the love and support of family is
as powerful as the strongest medicine a doctor can prescribe. Welcome to the
Ronald McDonald House of Long Island. Our House is a home-away-from-home for
families of seriously ill children undergoing critical medical treatment in
area hospitals. A two-minute walk from Schneider Children's Hospital, the
House provides a comfortable and supportive environment, helping families
through their most difficult time.
Robert S. Weitzner, President of the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island,
captures the essence of the House’s mission - “I have been so
touched by the generosity and compassion exhibited by our staff, volunteers,
donors, board members and, most of all, the families who stay here.”
