Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Tampa Bay provides comfort and care to children and their families by supporting local Ronald McDonald Houses®, its cornerstone program, and by making grants to other local not-for-profit organizations that help children in need. The Ronald McDonald House® of Tampa Bay provides a home-away-from-home for families of pediatric patients in area hospitals.
Bethany Wyns shows no signs of having a heart transplant seven years ago
Bethany Wyns is now a healthy 21-year old, about to graduate from Southeastern University in Lakeland. Seven years ago, she had the scare of her life. At the age of 13, Bethany found herself in need of a new heart. Her mother Maureen says her daughter was born with ASD (atrial septal defect), which is a hole in the top chamber of her heart. 2008 Nonprofit of the Year
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay Wins Judge's Award for 2008 Nonprofit of the Year! The Tampa Bay Business Journal honored regional nonprofit organizations for their fiscal responsibility and ability to achieve their targeted goals at a lunch gala Thursday. It was the third annual event for the Nonprofit of the Year Awards, which attracted record participation from nominees. Read full story here.
New Ronald McDonald House for Tampa Bay!
We are excited to announce that plans are underway to build a fourth Ronald McDonald House at the new All Children's Hospital medical annex, scheduled for completion in 2010. This fourteen-bedroom House will provide a restful haven during the day for parents who cannot leave their child's bedside, and overnight accommodations when required. Read full story here.
