Bailout notes: Oct. 8, 2008 It is heartbreaking to watch the markets crumble andfinancial institutions all over the globe in panic. It is evenworse because we know Mercury is retrograde and the broadcastedinformation was misleading at best, deceitful at worst. Therewill be no end to time spent in Congress trying to repair the damagedone during the last two weeks. Oct. 1, 2008 Special bailout event paragraph for all signs (parts are fromlast week [Sep 24], with a number of additions): Mercury is retrograde, Folks. Mars and Saturn are in a tenseposition as well (see above). This could not possibly be a worsetime for negotiating anything, and particularly not favorable formaking far-reaching decisions. We are told that a congressionaldecision in favor of bailout must be made ASAP. How about thethird week in October instead? And even that would likely bealtered later-- if it is not too late. Decisions made whileMercury retrograde are often based on inadequate information at best;or outright deceit at worst. I cannot believe that congress hasthe whole story. It may look like astrologicalsuperstition, but in my 35 years of experience of observation, it isnot a good idea to make such major decisions during Mercuryretrogrades. Every astrologer has been expecting a major global overhaul of allcorporate bodies because Pluto is moving into Capricorn. Pleasesee my Annual article for 2008 forpredictions. But I mustconfess I did not really believethings would become thiscatastrophic, so soonin the process of Pluto changing signs. (And somehow I sense thatthe panic has more to do with the upcoming election than with thebanks.) When I published the article on Pluto in January 7, I had to fight theinner impulse to urge people toget out of the markets. After all, I don't want to be acontributor to the general fear that I knew would be in motion by2009. Now I wish I hadmanaged to find some way to hint at getting out of themarket. The issue is that the markets are based upon the belief of the people. The volatility was predictable becauseour beliefs are being manipulated. It is imperative that everyone review their history books on thesubject of fascism. If you won't do that, at least look it up onWikipedia. We may be seeing the dawn of failed democracyand the rise of fascism before us this very week. If you think"fascist" is too extreme, then read your dictionary. You willfind statements like: "Fascist governments nationalized keyindustries and made massive state investments." (Wikipedia.org, articleon "fascism") Hereis one way a country becomes a fascist dictatorship: Economictroubles develop and a panic is generated by the government Itis intended toterrify the populace. We, the populace, give up our rights andour personal judgment out of fear of the threatened catastrophe. A new arrangement of the presiding government is given carte blanche (the blank check) tosolve the problems and return us to normalcy. (Once given thatkind of ultimate power, they will never, ever, relinquish itvoluntarily and no one can force them to surrender it, short of arevolution.) The nextthing on the agenda is to drive the current monetary system intobankruptcy, so that the "new" regime must change the currencyaltogether. In coups of history, the new currency payspennies onthe dollar and then only theelite have money. The middle class disappears and povertyis rampant. This situation has been developing for at least 10years,but it is only just nowbecoming apparent to the populace for what it is. That is thenature of Pluto---to shine a light on the dirt in the corners. The aspects in the sky are closely akin to aspects that were prominentin the Great Depression. This is the first time they haveoccurred since that time. The bailout was intended to avert adepression, but its effect would probably be generate rampantinflation. Those who recall the 70's know how that feels,watching helplessly as the dollars buy less every week. We are weenies where financial belt tightening is concerned. Thetime is here--now. Whether we "bail" and then watch the dollardrained of value, or skip the bail and go right to the depression,cosmic energies are what they are. The message is to rein in ourappetites. It may be the only way our collective society will doso is to generate a depression. I wish we had more self controlthan that, but it appears we do not. Individuals can often stem thetide for themselves, but a massive populace has an almost impossibletask to avoid the collective train wreck. My greatest fear is that we will inadvertently allow this country toevolve into a fascist system while calling itself a savior to thepeople. When the country nationalizes huge segments of our industry andproducts, we are running dangerously close.
