Email me direct with the mail box on the left Their appears in the Ellis Island, USA. files a family of Slingo's arrived from Holland on the 14th of May 1912, they included Hulbregt the father, Adriana the mother, Adrian, Elisabeth, Isaac and Hulbert the children.After intensive searching in both US and Netherlands, their name is not SLINGO but SLINGS and with after sight looking at the Shipping documents they have been transcribed wrong, it clearly looks like a S.I have contacted Ellis Island website but have not had a reply as yet.1 May 2004, still availble May 2005I have been informed that the medals of Hurbert George Richard Slingo of a Oxford tree has been purchased by medalsonline.co.uk and are available, and are the 1914 Star and clasp, British War Medal, Victory Medal, and the Territorial Efficiency Medal, in a fitted Leather Wallet.Hurbert was the son of Fergus O'Conner Slingo and Caroline Sophia Young it appears that Hubert did not marry, or have children, he was born 1883 Camberwell, and died 1958 Oxford age 75.Studied as a Architect and Surveyor in 1901 while liveing at Eltham. London.Served in the Great War with the London Regt. Before 1920 he was a motor car and motor bike agent in Oxford (sales and repairs) Davis and Slingo, later (1920) the partnership was dissolved as recorded in the London Gazette 19th Nov. to H.G.R.
