Reformers of the 16th Century : An Online Study

This class was a study of the many Reformers God used to revive His Church in the Protestant Reformation. We are also considering the Heidelberg Catechism of 1563 as a part of our study.Coming soon to these pages will be plenty of biographical materials and online links on the various Protestant Reformers. Also planned are Overhead Transparencies in PDF format used in classes. The objectives of these studies are to:Get to know something about the very human men (and some women) that God raised up during that great revival of the church, the issues they faced, and both their strengths and weaknesses in bringing reformation to the Christian faith.Consider the declarations of faith they made in various Confessions and Catechisms not as simply declarations of doctrine, but as efforts to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and His people in the midst of a changing world and culture.Explore the parallels between their times and ours, seeing both the issues that are yet unresolved, and the challenges and lessons we must apply to continuing this work of reformation into the next millenium of our post-modern world.A Slide Show of overheads I prepared for my class is on this website.

Unfortunately, links die rather abruptly on the internet - these links were active when I did these pages, and I do from time to time try to locate moved pages or delete no longer available sites. But some of these may be dead links - if you find where any of them have relocated - I would appreciate your passing that information on to me.
