Competition: The Neverending Story It's taken over twenty years but finally, it's here - The Neverending Story has been released on DVD. Transporting you into a fantasy world that defies everything you’ve ever imagined, The Neverending Story allows the viewer to enter a storybook world where its inhabitants exist as long as you continue to believe they exist. First released in 1984 you can now ditch those worn out VHS tapes and add this Warner Home Video beauty to your collection, helping Bastian keep those character favourites like Falcor the Luck Dragon and Atreyu alive and kicking. We have two copies of this classic to give away. To enter, simply recommend DYR to your family and friends. All participants will be submitted into a free draw. The Winner will be drawn 30th September 2008. Popular memories... Keypers The idea behind Keypers was that you should hide your secrets inside them. Keypers were plastic animals in pastel colours that you could open up some part of with a key to reveal a 'secret compartment' to stash stuff in.They came with 'finders' which were weird little things with large heads and hands and feet coming out of them (no bodies!). The later 'Finders' glowed in the dark too (like Glo Friends! hurrah!). The picture shows Baby Keypers which were also soft plastic money boxes. Read more... I Took a Lickin from Chicken You would compete against this little motorized plastic chicken that was housed under a clear plastic dome. When it was the chicken's turn, it would move from side to side as if scanning the game board to figure out his move, while uttering mechanical clucking noises. Then it would lurch forward with a loud cluck and its selection on the game board would become illuminated. Read more... Holly Hobbie Holly Hobbie was a rag doll that was dressed like a prairie girl from the early 20th century. She usually wore a blue bonnet and a matching dress, and wore her brown hair in two braids. She seemed to be popular in the 70s and early 80s because I seemed to have plenty of Holly Hobbie stuff including two Holly Hobbie dolls (one being a smaller replica), a sewing maching, and a cash register. I think I might have even had a Holly Hobbie bed set. Read more... Competition: cLuMsY night out! Can't get enough of those nostalgic kids TV shows? Well, neither can cLuMsY - a Bristol-based band with a love of mind-infiltrating 80s TV themes. The mix will be available to download for free at their vibrant and fun website but will also be launched at a special TV Themed Night in Bristol this October. If you fancy a fun-filled night out dancing to the delights of Thundercats you're in luck. We have two pairs of tickets to hand out to anyone up for a night in Bristol! To enter, simply recommend DYR to your family and friends. All participants will be submitted into a free draw. The Winner will be drawn 30th September 2008. Keep your eyes open on our blog for more information on the cLuMsY TV theme night, or alternatively, take a trip to http://www.clumsy.info.
