The original intent of ours in the creation
of this website was to post papers which would embody a journey through an
interesting myriad of philosophical material.
By writing on a myriad of subject material our writings would be
“unrestricted” in just this sense, hence the website’s title. As it turns out, however, our focus so far to
date has been primarily on only one philosophical theme, namely, what is space? In retrospect perhaps a more suitable
title such as “What is Space?” would have been more appropriate for us to use
here. To say this, however, does not in
any way imply that a number of philosophical subthemes
within this central theme haven’t been broached by us. (As discussed in our first two papers, the
first one especially, our proposal for a so-called “Wittgensteinian-Waismannian” dissolution of the question
“what is space?” as a means of resolving it, as opposed to answering it by way
of a definitional statement, stands as an example of just such a subtheme.) As we
continue to post papers which relate in some way or another to the question
“what is space?” and/or “what is X?” in general we will surely continue to
explore a variety of rich and interesting topical matter. In just this sense then the term
“unrestricted philosophy” is not, after all, all that bad of a term to be using
here. The papers which we have so far
written and have managed on occasion to rewrite in places in order to accomodate new thinking on our part are as follows:
