The award recognizes either or both: outstanding scientific and technical achievement; and extraordinary service to the community on behalf of women in computing and information technology. Dr. Denning is being honored for her work in information security and cryptography. The Association for Women in Computing is a non-profit, professional organization. The banquet will be held in Bethesda, MD (outside Washington, DC) on June 15th.
