October 12, 2008-
Longtime listener Judy is in hospice feeling quite unwell in her battle with cancer - we all wish her the best of luck. Phones jam with two key issues: first is the trillions of dollars that we are going to have to find for the bailouts and the fact that House Democrats are already planning more sessions after the election to give more money away. HUH? Where is all of this money going to come from? Then the callers take over the show - fighting amongst themselves - over who is more radical. One lady is so nutty that she drives me to hang up and be thankful that I'm a homo. Can women talk their men to death? Is was only paying half attention, but she sounded like a cross between a parrot and a hissing cat. How do you married heterosexual men put up with it? Good Lord!
October 5, 2008-
We start out by dipping into Governor Sarah Palin's speech live from Nebraska. The Governor seems like the person on the GOP side that actually wants to win. Now, you know my disdain for all things GOP or Donkey right now - with the bailout happening and all, but at least that gal has some spunk. McCain and Obama act like they're running for student council. FIGHT for G-d sake! Then Prop U in the East County comes up (from where I have no clue) and we end up talking about politicians raising taxes on homes in the middle of a mortgage crisis when people are losing homes. Doesn't make sense to me, but that is what the Grossmont School System wants to do. A candidate calls in and then the VP of the school board calls upset that the candidate called in. Dick doesn't seem to know Jack about his school system because they claim an increase in students while the state says they have a net loss of them. AND THESE PEOPLE ARE TEACHING MATH. Amazing.

They did it again - Congress is spending your money like it is theirs. This time they think that you and I should pay $700 BILLION toward a bailout of banks that gave bad loans. What people are not talking about is that these bad loans are a result of bad policies that FORCED banks to give them to people who could not afford them. We touch on the debate and the fact that Senator Obama couldn't remember the reason he was wearing a bracelet on his wrist or the name of the soldier he was wearing it for. I guess they didn't practice that answer. Turns out the family of the dead hero didn't want Obama using his name for political purposes anyway. What a mess - so much of a mess that people are talking about the need for a REVOLUTION! And, a wish for all celebrating Rosh Hashanah around the world for a happy new year. Year 5769 on the Jewish calendar.

Well Democrats AND Republicans have spent so much time ruining the economy that now we have a $1 TRILLION bailout package happening at banks around the world. So much for fiscal responsibility from both parties. There is a problem when the people in Washington DC who are supposed to be looking out for the little guy are taking money one day and holding hearings the next. Also, we get a preview of the debates and one has to wonder which will be the most exciting. Sarah Palin drew a crowd of 60,000 people in a place with only 70,000 people in it! Where else but Florida - the swing state with the most!

So... the Charges lose by ONE single solitary point and I thought people would be crushed and quiet. BOY was I wrong! Talked about Dr. Laura's comments about Sarah Palin. You can hear those comments by Podcasting the link above. I like Laura Schlessinger and think she provides a good service and show, but there are always better candidates for office, but we pick the people who will win. I'm a little taken aback at the notion that you cannot be Vice President of the United States of America and a mom. One caller brought it up and I pose this question: should female members of our military be removed from duty if they get pregnant or have a baby? Service is service (note: I did not say community organizing).

Well Barack Obama says that now he thought about joining the military after high school. An interesting claim, but do people believe him? Some of my callers do, but not many. Why would a guy that chronicled his cocaine use and hatred for white people forget to mention that he wanted to be in the Army too? Seems like something odd to leave out. MSNBC (that is a TV network - yes, more people listen to me than watch it, but still) is kicking their anchors out of their chairs because they are TOO BIAS! It took an election to figure that out, but gotta hand it to the network nobody watches.

Neither John McCain nor Barack Obama were on my list of people that I wanted to be President of the United States come January 2009. My first choice was Duncan Hunter, the California Congressman who is retiring from office and who once led the House’s Armed Services Committee. After Hunter was a hybrid candidate: Tom Tancredo (R-CO) for foreign policy and illegal immigration and Ron Paul (R-TX) for his unwavering support of the US Constitution on issues related to the rights of states and individual freedom.

A 45-year-old coward writes to the Los Angeles Times for advice because he is gay and is afraid to tell his mommy. What in the world? How come every single time someone wants to tell their parents that they are gay they end up thinking about it until they are full-grown adults? "Coming out" is no big deal - I did it and so did many others, but to be 45 and scared of how mommy will react is just comical.

Hotels are making a killing with the coming of gay marriages. Fantastic! The stories are almost daily - "gay marriage makes money," but where are the stories about the fact that the CA Supreme Court overturned the will of the people with complete disregard for what we decided some eight years ago? You know, I watched a documentary about Larry Flynt and he talked about the corruption in the mainstream press - here is just another example of the press pushing their agenda in the NEWS sections of their papers. No wonder everyone is getting fired and newspapers are losing money by the bucket. Hotels are doing well while those reporting on them are losing their shirts.

A gay couple is crying foul because a privately operated guest house allegedly denied them accommodation because they have a policy of two beds for two men. The couple said they had to "drive through the night" to find another place to stay. Big deal. There are plenty of places to stay in the area they wanted to sleep and they could have gone to another. I am opposed to gays being turned away from hotels and bed & breakfasts (or anywhere for that matter), but if a private business wants to ban gays then they should have the right (no matter how stupid) to do it. Sexuality and race are not the same so spare me the "that would be like turning away blacks" emails, please.

Being gay in jail now gets you some special rights in California. In what has to be one of the most idiotic decisions ever made in the state of California - INMATES in CALIFORNIA PRISONS are now able to get MARRIED! Talk about benefits: kill someone, rape someone, rob and burgle? Go to the pen and find yourself a husband. California will even pay for the preacher! What a joke - this is the best commercial against gay marriage and instead of saying it is a bad thing - gay groups are applauding the decision. Amazing.
