What people are not talking about is that these bad loans are a result of bad policies that FORCED banks to give them to people who could not afford them.  We touch on the debate and the fact that Senator Obama couldn't remember the reason he was wearing a bracelet on his wrist or the name of the soldier he was wearing it for. I guess they didn't practice that answer.  Turns out the family of the dead hero didn't want Obama using his name for political purposes anyway. What a mess - so much of a mess that people are talking about the need for a REVOLUTION!  And, a wish for all celebrating Rosh Hashanah around the world for a happy new year.  Year 5769 on the Jewish calendar.         September 21, 2008- Well Democrats AND Republicans have spent so much time ruining the economy that now we have a $1 TRILLION bailout package happening at banks around the world.  So much for fiscal responsibility from both parties. There is a problem when the people in Washington DC who are supposed to be looking out for the little guy are taking money one day and holding hearings the next.  Also, we get a preview of the debates and one has to wonder which will be the most exciting.  Sarah Palin drew a crowd of 60,000 people in a place with only 70,000 people in it!  Where else but Florida - the swing state with the most!             September 14, 2008- So... the Charges lose by ONE single solitary point and I thought people would be crushed and quiet.  BOY was I wrong!  Talked about Dr. Laura's comments about Sarah Palin.  You can hear those comments by Podcasting the link above.  I like Laura Schlessinger and think she provides a good service and show, but there are always better candidates for office, but we pick the people who will win.  I'm a little taken aback at the notion that you cannot be Vice President of the United States of America and a mom.  One caller brought it up and I pose this question: should female members of our military be removed from duty if they get pregnant or have a baby?  Service is service (note: I did not say community organizing).     September 7, 2008- Well Barack Obama says that now he thought about joining the military after high school.  An interesting claim, but do people believe him? Some of my callers do, but not many.  Why would a guy that chronicled his cocaine use and hatred for white people forget to mention that he wanted to be in the Army too?  Seems like something odd to leave out.  MSNBC (that is a TV network - yes, more people listen to me than watch it, but still) is kicking their anchors out of their chairs because they are TOO BIAS! It took an election to figure that out, but gotta hand it to the network nobody watches.       Listen to all of the previous shows by clicking on the Archived Shows and be sure to tune in live on Sunday night's at 6pm on News Radio 600 KOGO or on the Internet.      Dog T-Shirt     >>> More Selections   Steve Yuhas, called a "rising star" in radio, hosts his unique take on current events and politics during The Steve Yuhas Show - dubbed Uniquely Conservative Talk Radio™. Heard live from San Diego to Santa Barbara; Mexico to Arizona and all over the world on AM 600 KOGO - San Diego's News & Talk Station. From one entertainment reporter, "At first listen, Steve Yuhas sounds like just about any other right-wing talk-show host on the dial... His guests include the usual array of newsmakers and gadflies, and his running commentary is sprinkled with nasty zingers about liberals and Democrats. He buddies around with like-minded colleagues. And his arch-conservative opinions are reliably predictable."  It is not exactly that simple for this Jewish disabled former military man. Honorably discharged from the Marine Corps and Army, Yuhas served from Texas to Germany; California to the Middle East. He believes that service to his country made him able to overcome the adversity that came after he sustained a spinal cord injury.  Now a Lifetime Member of the Disabled American Veterans as well as a member of Paralyzed Veterans of America - he works hard for military folks and veterans alike. In a time when being a veteran is uncommon in public office, not to mention on radio and television, Yuhas brings a unique perspective to the field.  Guests have included everyone from the high ranking military men in our and other countries, secretaries of government agencies, local and national politicians and international leaders including former Prime Ministers and ambassadors from the world over.  Callers & Yuhas' unique biography make the Steve Yuhas Show unlike any other radio show.   If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd be Republicans Uttering lines that send liberals into paroxysms of rage, otherwise known as ‘citing facts,’ is the spice of life. What almost no one knows is that his wife Hillary harbored the same ambition since she was a girl -- and that her plan from the very start of their marriage was to succeed him in the Oval Office. by: Ed Klein   The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream Want to know about Barack Obama in his own words?  This is a re-print in paperback of his first book (not to be confused with the moderate looking read you get from his most recent literary endeavor).  Ignore the stuff about him as a teenager, but really find out about the guy who has a radical preacher and poor judgment who happens to also want to be President of the United States. by Barack Obama   Conservative Comebacks to Liberal Lies by Gregg Jackson Conservative Comebacks to Liberal Lies Fully documented responses to no fewer than 241 of the most common claims made by the Left on all the most important political, social, and cultural issues of our day by Gregg Jackson     The General's War: The Inside Story of the Conflict in the Gulf The Commandant of the Marine Corps believes this book to be important enough to be on the reading list of high ranking non-commissioned officers and lieutenant colonels in the USMC - so why not read it yourself?  VERY good background on the Gulf. by Michael R.; Trainor, Bernard E. Gordon   On My Honor: Why the American Values of the Boy Scouts Are Worth Fighting for Texas governor Rick Perry, through the legacy of the Boy Scouts of America, takes dead aim at the moral relativism of the secular humanist movement, indicting its corrosive impact on the culture. Examining the left's legal assaults on the Boy Scouts of America - which span more than 30 years - Perry offers prescient insight into the multi-faceted war, which pits the proponents of traditional American values against the radical leftist movement that seeks to tear down our social foundations. by Rick Perry   FairTax Offering eye-opening new insights not covered in the original book, FairTax: The Truth debunks the negative myths and gross misrepresentations of this groundbreaking idea. The FairTax plan is simple, brilliant, and it will work—enabling you to keep all the money in your paycheck; eliminating the fraud, hassle, and waste of our current system; and revolutionizing the way America pays for itself. by Neal Boortz   Surrender is Not an Option A fascinating chronicle of the career of a distinguished lawyer and diplomat who has fought to preserve American sovereignty and strength at home and abroad, Surrender Is Not an Option is the candid memoir of one of America's outstanding statesmen that is sure to become required reading for everyone interested in international affairs. by John Bolton   LISTEN LIVE Sundays 5 to 7 PM (Pacific)     Tuesday and Thursday 7 to 9 PM Podcasting: KOGO on Demand Sun, Tues & Thurs John McCain and Barack Obama had a debate - and nobody watched.  So what is it about these two men that have nobody excited? The collapsing market continues - so what did more than $1 TRILLION get the American people?  Nothing.  You want to talk about voodoo economics - talk about the bailout package.  It would have been cheaper to buy every home in America today than it would have been to give the money to the banks that held the paper. PROGRAMMING NOTE: Starting on Tuesday (October 14th) tune to AM 600 KOGO for special election-year-editions of the Steve Yuhas show every Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 9pm. Read More   ::  Archive Columns The question came up about where in southern CA (the best and biggest radio market in America) you can sit in your car or home and hear the show.  Here is a little map of our powerful coverage area.  Don't forget - the signal goes much further in all directions and we don't leave out the people of northern CA, Arizona, Mexico or the deserts either.   KOGO - from San Diego to Santa Barbara - Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire and all points across southern California - we're everywhere! Read More   ::  Archive Columns     A 45-year-old coward writes to the Los Angeles Times for advice because he is gay and is afraid to tell his mommy.  What in the world?  How come every single time someone wants to tell their parents that they are gay they end up thinking about it until they are full-grown adults?  "Coming out" is no big deal - I did it and so did many others, but to be 45 and scared of how mommy will react is just comical. Complete Story         Hotels are making a killing with the coming of gay marriages.  Fantastic!  The stories are almost daily - "gay marriage makes money," but where are the stories about the fact that the CA Supreme Court overturned the will of the people with complete disregard for what we decided some eight years ago?  You know, I watched a documentary about Larry Flynt and he talked about the corruption in the mainstream press - here is just another example of the press pushing their agenda in the NEWS sections of their papers.  No wonder everyone is getting fired and newspapers are losing money by the bucket.  Hotels are doing well while those reporting on them are losing their shirts. Complete Story     A gay couple is crying foul because a privately operated guest house allegedly denied them accommodation because they have a policy of two beds for two men.  The couple said they had to "drive through the night" to find another place to stay.  Big deal.  There are plenty of places to stay in the area they wanted to sleep and they could have gone to another. I am opposed to gays being turned away from hotels and bed & breakfasts (or anywhere for that matter), but if a private business wants to ban gays then they should have the right (no matter how stupid) to do it.  Sexuality and race are not the same so spare me the "that would be like turning away blacks" emails, please. Complete Story     Being gay in jail now gets you some special rights in California. In what has to be one of the most idiotic decisions ever made in the state of California - INMATES in CALIFORNIA PRISONS are now able to get MARRIED!  Talk about benefits: kill someone, rape someone, rob and burgle?  Go to the pen and find yourself a husband.  California will even pay for the preacher!  What a joke - this is the best commercial against gay marriage and instead of saying it is a bad thing - gay groups are applauding the decision.  Amazing.  Yes, marriage is important to gays, but important enough to have commercials showing gay inmates tying the knot?  Think people, think. Complete Story   Gay activists are on the side of Barack Obama (just like they were on the side of Bill Clinton and the return of a Democratic Congress in 2004), but do McCain and Obama really differ on the issue of gay marriage?  Nope - at least not according to their many positions on gay issues throughout their campaigns.  Good AP article on what the candidates think about all things gay, but why are gays so excited about Obama when he is exactly like John McCain on issues that gay activists think are vital this election cycle?  Blind allegiance to the Democratic Party.
