JLTP is a peer-reviewed, bi-annual, joint publication of the
College of Law, the
National Center for Supercomputing Applications, and the
Institute of Government and Public Affairs. Each entity possesses significant expertise and stature in its particular field.
Journal Focus:
The Journal features articles that address the following topics:
Societal impact of technology
Legal and regulatory regimes that govern technology
Intellectual property issues posed by technology
Use of technology to vindicate societal goals
Legal and political institutions and their treatment of technological issues
Public policy questions posed by technology
Ethics and technology
More specifically, articles address issues such as the law and regulation of information technology; national science and technology policy; communications and computer law; electronic commerce; biotechnology, bioethics and bioinformatics; and innovation and competition law.
Key Features of JLTP:
The Journal is a unique forum for the discussion of issues at the intersection of law, technology, and policy. The Journal provides the following novel features:
Peer Review. Distinguished academics and experts will review manuscripts and interact with authors to produce exceptional articles for publication.
Interdisciplinary Perspective. As symbolized by the three sponsoring entities, authors hail from different fields and reflect the interdisciplinary nature of the issues discussed.
