The Goal of the “Stealth Cartels”? – You – the average citizen, businessperson or Citizen Consumer, has no voice, the government politics of the 21st century have slammed the Capitol doors in your face. Your participation in the free market is being cut-off and controlled from behind those doors in your state capitol, by the established and as-of-yet undeclared “Stealth Cartel” of elected state officials and Big Business.
Your state government officials want Big Business' money and they want it to keep coming. To insure the free flow of income from their unpublicized comrades in this “Stealth Cartel,” for the right price, your state government officials are willing to do the bidding of Big Business, up to and including directly intervening on behalf of Big Business - to the detriment of other competitors and consumers, in what should otherwise be the free market.
Exhibit No. 1 [State Government’s Partnership with Big Tobacco – The MSA Tobacco Settlement]:
The most blatant example of the “Stealth Cartel” partnerships is the states’ partnership with BIG TOBACCO, through the Tobacco Settlement known as the Master Settlement Agreement (“MSA”).
Master Settlement Agreement = Master Partnership Agreement: In reality the MSA is not a tobacco settlement at all, but rather, the cornerstone of a conspiracy which established an ongoing multi-billion dollar partnership between the 46 Governors and Attorneys General whose states signed the MSA, and their partner, Big Tobacco.
The goal of this conspiracy, the biggest of the Stealth Cartels – like any other cartel, is to make money, and lots of it. This partnership works on an easy-to-understand equation: the more money Big Tobacco makes from the sales of their product, the more money your state government is paid by Big Tobacco under the MSA.
The Best Free Market Competition is No Free Market Competition: Big Tobacco has reasoned that the best way to sell more of their products is to wipe out as much, if not all of the free market competition, and establish a de-facto monopoly.
Your state government officials are more than willing to sanction this philosophy, and directly interfere with what should otherwise be the free-market. This conspiracy of interference by the states, on behalf of their partner, Big Tobacco, is being undertaken through the re-writing of laws, the selective enforcement of laws and attempts to raise taxes on the little tobacco businessman, to insure that independent tobacco wholesalers and retailers go the way of the dinosaur in this brave new world of 21st century state-sponsored monopolies and cash-and-carry cartels.
