What is Gnosis? Written by Gnostic Instructor
Gnosis is Greek for “knowledge.” Gnosis refers to experiential knowledge, rather than intellectual or conceptual knowledge.
The venerable science of Gnosis is the universal and essential "knowing" that arises from the experience of objective reality, universally experienced by all those who fully awaken and develop their consciousness. The science or path to arrive at knowing that reality for oneself, in ones own experience, is also called Gnosis, because it leads to the acquisition of one’s own Gnosis of fundamental truth.
Gnosis is, in its essence, the method to escape suffering, because to
experience fundamental reality, one must abandon the deluded mind,
within which we all suffer intensely. Our delusions cause suffering,
and prevent us from seeing the truth.
The method to experience the fundamental reality is exact and has
existed for millennia.True Gnosis - conscious knowledge of this
experience - is free of separatism, dogma, politics, fanaticism, and
sectarianism. Gnosis comes from the divine, and cannot be bottled into the limited concepts of the intellect or mere belief.
The hallmarks of true Gnosis are seen in the world's greatest human beings: profound compassion, penetrating wisdom, and sparkling intelligence.

The sign of Leo is represented by a lion. The lion has a universal symbolic significance. We find that the symbol of the lion is ubiquitous, being present in every major religion and mythology because of its grandeur, courage, strength, and beauty. And it appears that we have a particular love or attraction for the great cats. You might even say a kind of fascination. The lion has always played a very significant and central role in mankind’s observations of nature, and in the persistent longing to understand how nature functions.
Within the context of astrology and the zodiac, Leo the lion also has this central role. We know from studying Gnosis that Leo is the heart of the zodiac. Leo is the sun of the zodiac, just as our physical sun gives life and provides the basis for existence to all the planets and life forms that exist within the terrestrial environment and in the environments of each of the planets. So too does Leo radiate its effulgent life to all the zodiacal signs: on the physical level, on the energetic level, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually; on every level.

People confuse consciousness with intelligence or with intellect, thus, they qualify a very intelligent or intellectual person as a very cognizant person.
Undoubtedly—and without fear of deceiving ourselves—we affirm that within a human being the consciousness is a very particular means of apprehending internal knowledge and is completely independent of any mental activity.
The faculty of consciousness facilitates the knowledge of ourselves.
The consciousness grants us the integral knowledge of what is, where it is, what is really known, and what is certainly ignored.
Revolutionary psychology teaches that only the individual by himself
can know his own self. Yes, only we ourselves can know if we are or
are not cognizant at any given moment; only by oneself can one know
about one’s own consciousness, and whether it was active or not at any
given moment.

The Tower of Babel
Learn about the deep meanings hidden in this famous Biblical story.
"The book of Genesis is a
Gnostic book written by Gnostics; the whole book hides the mystery of
Daath, the Hebrew word for knowledge, which in Greek is Gnosis. So,
Genesis is 100% Gnostic, whose myths hide a lot of knowledge."

"The initiated priest, in a state of ecstasy, perceives the substance
of Christ, and magically transmits his own influence on the bread and
the wine, thus awakening the Christic substance that is found in these
elements which can in turn perform miracles, awakening the Christic
powers of our internal bodies." - Samael Aun Weor, The Perfect Matrimony (1950)
